Crit with CAT: Portfolio Reviews

Date(s) - 06/13/2019
7:30 pm - 8:30 pm

We have a special treat for illustrators! Want to know what agents look for in a portfolio? Want to know how yours measures up—and how to make it stronger? This event is for you.

Christy T. Ewers

The CAT Agency literary agent Christy Tugeau Ewers will be critiquing portfolios and doing a short follow-up webinar to reflect on what she noticed—and what she hopes to see. Interested illustrators and author/illustrators can sign up for a critique plus webinar or webinar only.

Christy T. Ewers is one half of the agenting team at The CAT Agency, where she represents thirty-eight illustrators and author/illustrators, along with her mother and partner, Chris Tugeau, who founded the agency in 1994. The CAT Agency is a boutique agency that believes in the hands-on approach in representing a diverse group of talent from all over the world. Christy works closely with the entire “family” of artists, spearheading promotion and deals for CAT Agency illustrators, as well as working closely with the authors in the group to help craft their stories and hone their writing for young readers.

CRITIQUES ARE SOLD OUT. You may still register for the webinar only.

Portfolios must be submitted by May 3. You will receive instructions on how to submit your portfolio once you have registered. Christy will return critiques by June 6, and the wrap-up webinar will take place on June 13 at 7:30 p.m. (Central Time). The recording will be available for two weeks following the event for those who cannot attend live.

Christy is accepting only 15 portfolios for critique; first-come-first-served. Don’t wait to register!
